Edouard Vermeulen was born in the Flemish town of Ieper in 1957. This former interior designer gave up his passion for decoration in order to devote himself to that other passion called fashion. In 1984 he presented his first own collection under the brand name Natan. Its style of contemporary purity was shortly after noticed and recognized by many fashionistas.
Natan even made it to the Belgian Royal Family which is a huge fan and frequent customer. Also the Royal courts of Sweden, The Netherlands, Denmark and the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg were eager to copy this trend and hired the man as well.
