A restaurant renowned for a limited, seasonal menu, which is supplemented every two months by new dishes. This approach guarantees that high-quality products are always used. Furthermore, very natural dishes are served.


Favourite regional product of the chef?
Gouden Carolus Tripel, because of its authenticity. It is a Belgian special beer with an alcohol percentage of 9%, brewed by Het Anker brewery in Mechelen, one of the oldest breweries in Belgium.

Frida & de Henri’s is located in the former 19th century ballroom in Mechelen, which was badly bombed during the 2nd World War. The building was restored to its former glory and transformed into a small restaurant. It feels like you’re eating in a loft, lovingly decorated with Danish second-hand furniture from the 1950s and ‘60s.
