National Geographic Traveler "133 Places Rated"

Nat Geo asked the following question: "Subjected to development, mass tourism, pollution and globalization--are the world's great places still.....great? In the 6th annual survey of destination stewardship to appear in National Geographic Traveler, they revisited some of the iconic places they had first surveyed in 2003 and rated in 2004.  The results?  Under the category of Best-    Rated Places, the historic center of Bruges, Flanders ranked #8--"a marvel of historic preservation that seems to bring 16th century Flemish culture to life."  Read more here.
