    The unmistakable symbol of Brussels and Belgium, the Atomium is Belgium's most popular attraction. Built for the 1958 World Exhibition, the Atomium is shaped on the model of a crystalline iron molecule enlarged 165 billion times. The Atomium is open every day, from 10am until 6pm (ticket office closes at 5.30pm).
